We have the "What have you just BOUGHT?" thread, so I thought it might be interesting to see what people have sold and why?

I recently sold a Sony A7R II and a Sony RX100 VI. Why? I just don`t like the feel of Sony cameras. They just are not fun to use for me. I was continuing to use my Fujis even with these two being newer. I figured if I`d rather use my older cameras, I should sell the Sonys. I feel good about it.
 
Recently sold a Mamiya 7 kit (3 lenses) and a similar Fujica GL690 b kit . Both truly amazing cameras , but projecting slides had become an obsession and 6x6 better fills the bill . Unless you're a collector , sell them ! Peter
 
i just gave away a fuji xe1 plus fuji 15-45 lens...

recently went through a shake up of my gear and traded away the 55-200...sold the fast 16... 23...56...bought the xpro3 and lastly, bought the 10-24 and 16-80... along with the 4 fujicrons...still have my 3 xe3 bodies.

normally when i get into a gear fit i sell everything and start over with a different brand of gear, but i like fuji too much, it feels great in my hands and honestly the gear is better than i am.

i want to add the fuji 90 to my bag and then calm things down for a long while.

Recently I downsized my sony gear from A7RIII to A7RII to A7 to finally getting rid of all my Sony gears and after 6 years I'm back to Canon and grabbed a EOS R

I don't miss Sony one bit.
 
I just let go of a very nice v4 Summicron 50. I’m finding myself more drawn to “character” lenses in this focal length.
 
I have started downsizing my hoard in July. So far I have sold/traded away around 200 cameras and I am not sure how many lenses. Mostly folders in various formats, large and medium format Graphics, a bunch of wooden cameras, 35mm SLRs and some fixed lens RFs. Still have quite a bunch to move.

I have realized that I can’t use or repair them all. It was just sitting in boxes. It freed up quite a decent amount of funds in addition to some valuable things I received in return.
 
found a new home for my minolta autocord and pentax ME super at glass key photo in SF. freed up a little $ for more tri-x.

now i'm hankering for a hasselblad 500cm to fill my medium format gap. :bang:
 
I just sold my Leica M6. I had three Leicas (2 film and 1 digital) and found that, of the film Leicas, I strongly preferred using my Leica M3.

I sold the M6 primarily to fund the purchase of the Nikon 300 f/4 PF lens, which will be a great lens for telephoto and will be a big improvement over my 70-300 lens,
 
What have you just SOLD?

75 items sold on eBay in past 6 months.
Unloaded all sorts of camera and tech that I no longer use, never used, bought-repaired-sold or found-in-recycling-cleaned or repaired -sold.
Recovered $3000 USD.
Bought some lenses. Using rest towards vacation in December.
100pc of Koni-Omega gear is gone. Saved two Rubbermaid containers worth of space.
Sold 3 620 spools. Earned $10CAD.
Big and small, I am getting rid of it all.
 
My cameras have become my children; I can't sell them.

The last camera I sold was maybe in early 1970 - an Argus C3 - because I wanted a real 35mm camera.
 
This month I've sold a Rolleicord Vb, Leica IIf (factory conversion from a I), Leica IIIc, Canon AE-1 Program and Nikkormat FT3 with lenses for all cameras.

I've got a Leica IIIc and IIIg that I will be putting up for sale soon. And currently debating whether I should sell or exchange my Leica M3 + DR Summicron.
