Jessops (UK) own brand film both BW and colour.
What is inside the box?
What about Tesco's own film?
I use them to test cameras because they are chep.

I use the jessops stuff to test becasue if we need 1hr (ie if we're impatient - negs are okay and we scan evrything anyway) we use them to dev, and we have a drawer *full* of the 'free' rolls.
I don't find it totally disagreeable, either

It varies according to what's cheap. I don't know about Jessops specifically but I do know that in colour neg switching between Agfa and Ferrania is the usual choice, though even Kodak does some private-label stuff, while in mono the choice is usually Central/Eastern Europe: Ilford has got out of that market. Usually it's the same film for anything from a year to a decade, then changes without waerning.

Dear Berci,
Didn't invent it -- just adopted it enthusiastically.
