Hi folks,

As part of the current project I am doing, Upgrade to Film, I am looking to find out what people's favourite cameras are and why. A picture of your camera, face-on, would be ideal, as well as a brief description of why you like it so much. The best submissions will have their cameras vectored (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics), printed on an A3 piece of paper and sent to them. All I'd ask then is for you to take a picture of you holding up your print and send it back to me electronically.

Cheers,
Stephen

It might be worth while to let people know what you are going to do with the picture of the person holding up their print.

It will become part of a poster and maybe a book of people's work (with their permission of course). All credit will be given and, if it goes into production, a percentage of profit will go to those people. It is unlikely it will that far, as it is just an idea for a university project. It would be great if something small like this could reach out across the world from forums such as RFF.

This can be complicated. In fact, in the world of rangefinders, it is your favourite focal length of the lens that dictates which body to use rather than the other way round. Since my favourite fl is 50mm, then the camera that I use most often is an 0.85x Leica M7, the reason is, that for me, the 50mm frames in this camera are the best - I even had the 75mm frames removed in order to get a single, clear frame with a right amount of relief around. Given that the 0.85x magnification is only found in Leicas, the reason I like the M7, is because it has AE, so it makes street shooting much faster. As to the photos, I am sure others will supply you with lots of them, you can even look up the thread "show me your leica M" it is full of camera photos.
