What Leica is being used in this commercial?

no frameline illmumination window. appears to be a button on the front. it's gotta be a 240 or 246. no "bolt head" makes me think M 240 with some black tape.

edit* i'm thinking it may be an M10 due to the black button on front and the prominent chrome at the mount.

Well, I think I'm leaning toward M240 type. Mine has some chrome around the lens mount like that. And, I don't see enough evidence of the ISO dial on the VF end. I think it would be more apparent.

MD? I think I would still see that black spot on the front. But black tape or fancy post production could take care of that -- or the red dot of an 240.

Ah wait. That "rewind button" on the front is the M240 button. The MD doesn't have that button.

Funny thing, I don't even know what that button is for and I own one of these cameras. For video, right? That would explain why I've never pressed it.

Anyway, for me the mystery is solved. Its an M240 with the logo masked (copyright reasons?).

i believe it's an M10 for the following reasons:
1. the button on the front is black. only the black M10 has a black button.
2. the finish looks more like a black chrome (M10) than a black paint (M240)
3. the VF is wider (longer in width) than the M240 VF

i'd bet... say... $500 it's an M10.

Well, didn't know about the black button, and the finish does appear to be black chrome, so no wager from me. Not to mention I have never gambled and unlikely to start now...(not a religious thing, just haven't felt the need).

But, perhaps it *could* be an M240? -- perhaps this one! :D

Good pointers.

By the way, just in case anyone’s interested, my friend Scully is selling an American Force Independence SS and Ironman tire package. If anyone’s interested, feel free to PM me.

I use the button for the exposure compensation function (easier, for me, than using the menu).
