Well, I got my first Kiev (GAS will demand it not be the last I suppose) and am putting the first roll through it. Naturally I am thinking of additional lenses. I see plenty of Jupiters in 35mm, 85mm, and 135mm, as well of course in 50mm in Jupiter and Helios. Is that all there is?

Are there other lenses, especially wider, that don't cost an arm and a leg and a first born male child?

Thanks nzeeman. Say, heard on the news today that there was an earthquake in the northern part of your country(always having assumed you were from New Zealand ? ). Hope it didn't effect you, of if it did, not seriously. For those it did effect, hope things aren't too severe.

Sorry, I edited this before I saw your post. I just always assumed you were from New Zealand originally. My bad. Anyway thanks again for your informative posts above.

Yes there's a 28mm f/6 Orion in Kiev/Contax mount. They are not common so they fetch 2 or 3 times what any other model does. They have a reputation as a sharp lens but I don't own one to confirm that.

That's what I miss about my Contx/Kiev phase. All my lenses combined cost lesst than a 40 year old Summicron. I carried the Russian 35, 50, 85 and 135. Never needed anything else. The only one of the lot I had a problem with was the 85-It looked brand new but was soooo out of focus. Easy to collimate yourself though. After the collimation great results. I'm thinking about trying to find another in ltm. Stu
