That is a good thing, right? However, it also means the $2K price tag may slide only slightly when it hits the market.

It's clearly not a point and shoot ...![]()
The sensor size would argue against it being a point and shoot, but functionally it's a non-interchangeable lens camera with an LCD screen for viewing, and onboard flash, so it comes pretty darn close.
I'm not trying to denigrate the X1 with the moniker of P&S, just being realistic.
