This is a really nice forum so I've been wondering if there is any good quality forum like this in other subject. In my case, I've been looking for an painter Forum or a musician forum but I can't find anithing like this one.

So, What others forums do you frequently visit?

There are other photo forums I visit:

pnet -- gets nasty sometimes, but good info lurking in there (along with plenty of misinformation):
http://www.photo.net/

APUG -- a testy place, but lots of good info there too:
http://www.apug.org/forums/home.php

DPReview -- rabidly digital, but a good place to keep up with newly released technology:
http://www.dpreview.com/

Outdoor Eyes -- a very gentle nature-photography oriented forum. Most participants shoot digital, but it's equipment neutral and there are several regulars who shoot film:

i visit photo.net, but in the last months i am almost completely dedicated to its 'classic cameras' section. Thjat's the only one where good manners, useful info, great photos and lots of humorous postings are succesfully combined.

I know I have no life, but I regularly do Photo.Net, Delphi Forums, Yahoo Groups, MSN Groups, Ebay Groups, BestStuff, RangefinderForums of course, PentaxUser, EBay Community Town Square, and a brand new favourite of mine still in its infancy The Camera Collector . I've backed off Yahoo a bit as I was trying to follow 76 forums (what can I say, I have a lot of cameras that interest me) and MSN seems to be more porn spam than traffic these days. BestStuff is friendly enough and loaded with repair/Russian info and gurus. Photo.Net provides some excellent inspiration along with the usual diatribes by a few self proclaimed sources of all arcane knowledge. Delphi is great for Russian/Ukrainian/Exakta forums and while still new, The Camera Collector seems to be a favourite place as we discuss RF's, SLR's, TLR's etc. with impunity. Glad to see so many familiar faces on these forums and we can always use more. I'm non-partisan on any particular camera maker, format, design or value, if you like it, it holds your interest and allows you hours of escape from the daily tribulations we all go through, then I'm 100% in your corner. Take care, enjoy your camera, and I look forward to reading all of you in whichever forum we tend to meet. Curt in Canada.

I drop by in photo.net's 'Classic Cameras', 'Pentax', 'Leica' and various other forums occasionally; I'm a member of the BestStuff Russiancamera Forum, and I regularly visit two German forums for darkroom/photolab stuff: Phototec's Hobbylaborforum at www.phototec.de, and FotoImpex's www.fotolaborforum.de

Yes, agreed. This place is now the standard I compare the others against.

I found out about this place from rec.photo.equipment.35mm on Usenet. I'm still on Usenet, and I do post to a few groups there fairly regularly, but you really need thick skin there and you can't take anything too seriously.

I admit I visit photo.net every so often, but it often reminds me of kids playing in a sandbox throwing sand at each other. :(

APUG is good, but it doesn't hold my attention as well as this group. :)

americanphotographyforum.com has some good potential, but it's just not very active.

Lately I've been reading and actually posting on www.phototalk.net and it does seem like a nice group of folks over there.

There are a number of groups on Yahoo, but I never really stuck to any of them. They either seem dead, a spam factory, or they seem to degenerate into a flame factory. There are so many groups there, they pop up all the time. It's hard to keep track of.

pnet Nikon users forum. It's getting pretty D-70 nowadays but there are some knowledgable folks on film cameras and I have found them to be one of the most polite groups on pnet.
Beststuff Russian camera fourum although in the past couple of months there hasn't been a great deal of activity there. I think a lot of members are spending more time here.

This forum is my new standard. I started out on the Leica Forum. When a couple of people started getting flame happy it just ruined it for me. Came over here because I read a few recommendations about this forum. They were good recommendations and true.

If you are into film then you might try the Ilfopro forum. I have been lurking around there lately. I like this little site that I found off the Leica board:

http://www.worldphotoadventure.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1&Itemid=2

There are some really funny and informative articles on there. Only have time for the photo forums.

Hardly any others lately. I occasionally look at Pop Photo's forum and I will go see what ever forum gets linked to by members here.
Haven't had any need for another one--except that Camera Collector one sound interesting (and dangerous). Gonna have to search it out.

This is the only photo newsgroup I frequent. Sometime lurk in the Leica forums, but rarely now, always curious as to what "Kit" had to say! Spent some time lurking in the photo.net "philosophy" section, but people seem to ask silly questions. And the answers seem just a s silly sometimes.

RFF seems really down to earth and un-pretentious, I like it here!

Get my news from fark.com, and RSS feeds from the Guardian UK

While RFF is by far my favorite place to visit for photography related things, I also visit the following:

BestStuff for their Russian Camera section.

Yahoo Groups where there's a very active Spotmatic Group and Zenit Group. A little less active is the Praktica Group and Camera Repair Group.

Leica Users Group (LUG).

Topica where an Exakta Forum is hosted.

I always come to this forum first. Sometimes I read & post in the Leica pnet forum, but this one is the standard now. Eventually, when the mood strikes me, I check out the Nikonians.org forum or the Pop Photo Forums, but that's about it.
