what timer do you use for film?

Just wondering what type of timer you use for film processing?

If you develop in your kitchen like I do, the microwave timer works fine. 😉

I work in the kitchen also. Since my film tanks are in/near the sink and the microwave is several steps behind me, I use a Gra-Lab darkroom timer. One of those super simple, super dependable, all analog great pieces of gear that I couldn't be without.

I use the stopwatch on my cel phone.. the 'lap' timing allows me to see the individual times of each process. Plus, it's small and easy to keep out of the way (though it does get a bit damp on occasion).

GraLab. It's also handy for timing fixing and wash times, and my film dryer is plugged into it also so it'll shut off by itself.

Wrist watch... Only development is really time critical, so any digital wrist watch with one countdown timer is absolutely sufficient. Back when I was still doing E6, I used a late eighties Casio sports timer which had multiple preprogrammable countdowns.

I use a US Navy pocketwatch one of my sons gave me. For my darkroom printing I have a GraLab timer but the hand is starting to stick. but I also have a veeder root time o light that works fine.

FndMobile is more than a timer. It's also a programmable film/development database.
