I've seen several Leica LTM boxes. I have one for my IIIc. I've never however seen one that was complete. They are always empty.
I imagine they must have contained some sort of velvet lining which would hold the camera?
I can't find any photos on google. Especially for older Barnacks. I think f and g boxes were nearly identical to early M3s. So they probably had the velvet lined styrofoam. Was styrofoam even a thing pre-1950?
Also, did early Leicas come with the check list tags? M obviously did and I think that f and g did but I've never seen any for anything before that.
Another thing: what was the calendar looking grid on the lid of the box for??
I have IIIc so I'm curious what it might have looked like straight from the shop and what everything was for.

Yay! Cameras! 🙈🙉🙊┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘ [◉"]
I have a IIIf that came with a red velvet lined Leica clamshell case. Reminds me of how my Dad’s Remington razor came packaged back in the day

I've seen those clam shell boxes. I think it usually says Leitz New York on them?
