You and Mike Kovacs (Lond, ON) over on on APUG. I loved the SL66 system when I had it. Are you planning on playing with macro by reversing the lens? It's a blast, especially with colour.

Excellent! Great shot and camera too. I wish I had my Rolleis back.
Yesterday a friend and I took a road trip just for photography. I shot 4x5, 6x6 and 35mm all afternoon. The last roll of 120 that I was loading, I dropped the insert for my A12 Hasselblad back in the dirt and to my surprise I bent the darn end piece of the back. The piece I bent was heavy metal on the end with the key that locks the insert into the back. I could'nt believe a drop from three feet to soft dirt would do this. Fortunately I was able to straighten it with some heavy duty plires but I don't think my Rollei would have been so delicate. The good part is it doesn't leak light and the shots from the day were excellent.
If you're planing on buying additional glass get the 120mm and the 40mm. Those two lenses were my most used and favorite of all time. A little secret, look for OPTON lenses. My 120 was an Opton and was actually a Zeiss made in the original Jena factory in east Germany. I bought it new from Wolf in atlanta for a song. I don't think anyone knew what the opton was. It had no Zeiss markings but was made in Germany and had (S-PL) marked on the barrell. I think they thought it was a cheaper lens and marked it very low. I thunk I bought it for less than $600 new when the s-Planar Zeiss west German version was around $2000.

There were SL66 mount lenses branded other than Rollei/Zeiss? Who knew? I would have loved a 120, as the 150 was often too long. I had the usual setup ... 50, 80, 150, all in barrel. And you're right about ruggedness. The only problem I ever had was the gearing on the backs, but that was an early production problem, I believe.

Thanks, Don, it's been enjoyable so far. I'm waiting for a big shipment of TX so I can really get to work with it.
