Ok, since we all do photography of some kind on this forum it means that we are fairly artistic people. I love photography (especially the RF kind) but it isnt my only interest (i would get too bored because I like variety), so it got me wondering what other kinds of hobbies do you all do in your spare time. Among other things I do maori bone carvings for my friends. The example below is carved out of pure beef bone. Show me your hobbies!

Thats a nice carving! But such a hobby is not the right for my sort of hands ;-)
I´m making knives, doing the whole process myself: forging, grinding, making handle and sheat. Like my photos I don´t have to sell my knives so I can try to go my own way.

Absolutely stunning work petronius! I love the fact that you do every step in the process. A+ for fine craftmanship, what are the sizes or those bad boys?

Thanks, but the finish looks much better on the pictures than in reality! The left one has a 7cm, the right one a 11cm blade.

Hmmm so many things.

I collect some World War 2 Militaria and books/DVDs.
I used to paint a lot of miniatures and aircraft models for war games, but I've not found the time since I've moved into my new house.

Then there's the bucket load of computer games I play

oh let's see ... bonsai, board games, lots and lots of reading (avg around 100+ books a year, though most are academic monographs), motorcycling, and fly fishing (though it's been a long while since I had the time to get away to do any) -- sadly, I had to give up the computer game addiction a few years ago
