Hello ladies and gentlemen !
I'm portrait and street photographer from Rome, Italy.

Since my love story with the M system is now many years old, I decided few weeks ago to start a small leisure side project.

I'm taking portraits of people I meet for work or fun holding one of my M cameras.

Priscilla knows how to use the viewfinder, Carlotta does not, and there is something seriously wrong with me when in the photo of Valentina I am instead staring at the lens trying to figure out what it is!

Gorgeous images!

One suggestion, is it about the people or the camera? I know you love your camera but I'd ditch the camera and just photograph the people. The camera distracts from their beautiful faces and lighting and doesn't add a thing.
 
You are right, i'm also taking pics of them without camera, but the instagram account is about them with my M :)

Your work is stunning! Absolutely beautiful.

Your sense of light, creativity and technique are just amazing.

Beautifully done work. I see where the camera came in now.

Nice to see such an impressive portfolio.
 
i like a bunch of them if you consider them as discrete portraits, but if you think about it as a series, it weirds me out. why isn’t it portraits of people with a leica m that they own? are you showcasing your social circle, the people you know and hang out with, or is that coincidental? are you trying to promote the leica brand to a wider demographic by making pictures of people who do not own a leica? if so, why aren’t there more people of color?! and why does the age of women skew younger than the men? just something to think about as you continue developing the concept for the series. maybe it is representative of italy’s demographics, and maybe it’s especially important to promote the brand to younger women. maybe that’s not the point at all, and it’s really about reinforcing leica’s existing audience. there’s no way to tell, so i think a didactic text would help with the interpretation.
 
Common, it could be anything not stressful in hands of those who are holding it. And it doesn't really matter what is it and who they are. Those are portraits with common thing in them. This is it.
Big job and deserving to be appreciated as is without "think of the children" syndrome.
IMO.

But Priscilla is blocking the viewfinder with her thumb....

...And I can't stop looking at the Monochrome 246 photo--because of Giulia's beautiful eyes.

...And, really excellent lighting and portraits. Well done!
 
It a little side project. Nothing important. Its dedicated to my love for my M cameras. I had many of them. I shoot the people I meet for work, fun or just on the street. I'm a portrait photographer and teacher so I meet a lot of people !

I love your series of portraits but there's one small thing that bothers me....it's when you started your post with "Hello gentlemen". I am not sure if you know that there are female members of Rangefinder Forum. There are also two female moderators (of which I am one). So, perhaps you should have started your post with "Hello Ladies and Gentlemen"

Piacevole e interessante! Pleasant and interesting, bravo!

Some of them seem very serious, others are more relaxed and smiling...you father almost laughing and you mother so severe :) ... I like this variety in the expressions of your subject.
