I think that is the flash unit I need for my D200, the Nikon one is three times the price and I like Metz. I've found a ton of online dealers but they use incorrect numbering a lot of the times so you can't know for certain if you are ordering the iTTL digital version or not.
So, can anyone suggest a good shop with good prices where I can simply call?

This may not be the most appropriate flash unit for the D200. This Metz flash is only iTTL compatible, so for use mounted on the camera hot-shoe. But it does NOT list as a CLS flash (Nikon's 'Creative Lighting System'). Basically, this means it can't be used as an off-camera slave for the D200 in 'commander mode'. For that you'd need an SB600/SB800/SB900. These Nikon flashes also have the added bonus of both tilt and swivel (vertical & horizontal), giving additional bounce options when the camera is held vertical. The restriction of not being able to bounce with the camera held vertical will really hurt in no time.http://www.metz.de/en/photo-electro...litz-36-af-4-digital/product-information.html

If there's any way to scrape the money together to go for an SB600 instead, that would be my choice for the D200.. You'll be buying one after a while anyhow..
I've attached a couple of examples of what CLS with off-camera sb800 can do..
