I want to get a diopter for my M6 so I don't always have to wear my glasses. Any idea where I can get one. Does a specific brand fit the M6 or am I out of luck?

thanks,

adam

You my friend, are out of luck, maybe. You do need to buy a Leica Diopter, which retail for the low low price of $75. :(

I lucked out a few weeks ago and put a WTB add here and on Photo.net and was able to buy one used for half that rediculous amount. When you get it you are going to not be happy about having to pay more than $10 for one, just to prepare you.

Good Luck

Really? I thought the Leica ones are round. And my M6 is a rectangle. Wait, I get it, I should clarify. I have a Mamiya 6, not a leica M6. The leica won't fit my Mamiya, right?

My error, maybe there is hope. Yes I am talking about a Leica Diopter as I didn't look to see that you posted this in the Medium Format Forum. Sorry about that.

The Leica ones are a slap in the face though. Just a little piece of glass, or plastic maybe, in a threaded washer.

I got mine from Mamiya directoly- long time ago but they mnay still have them if they are the same as those used on the M7 or M7II. Try them...and good luck.

B&H sells them for $18.95, bought one there last month.
They are interchangeable with the 7, 645 Pro, Pro TL and Super.
