I have a few rolls of HP5+ that I'd like to have scanned. I have a flatbed but I don't get near good enough results to scan for print.

Most places I've looked at scan per frame and the cost when you add a few rolls together gets really high. They're in strips of 5 frames. I want to scan most all of them because they're for someone else to sort through, so I can't really edit out the ones I don't like and scan from there.

So, are there any places I could just send a sheet of negs and get back a cd with 36 frames good enough for 8x10? Sounds simple enough, but I don't ever scan for print, so this is uncharted territory for me! I usually only scan to proof and then wet print from there.

Thanks for your help!

Two things. You could take them into your local Target/Costco/whatever and have them scan. I think they might do that.

Second, I would scan them, contact print them, or something at low res, have your person make their choices, and then just scan the keepers.

For 8x10, I'd want 8x10 at 300dpi, which works out to 2400x3000 pixels.
