The camera that's with me most when I head out the door is my Leica IIf - it's simple, beautifully built and more reliable than I ever need a camera to be. With a SBOOI viewfinder on it and either my CV Color-Skopar 50/2.5 or 5cm Summar (a wonderful, clean example bought from the fantastic Malcolm Taylor ) it's a joy to use. I've heard so many people saying how fiddly and awkward the screw mount cameras are to use but, in my case, it's this camera that allows me to forget about equipment and just concentrate on the pictures - it's the camera that I enjoy the most.

Hard to choose just one. Wish you had not included medium format.

Leica M2, Leica screwmount llf, Hexar RF+AF, Nikon F3, Olympus OM1, Rollei 35, medium format (various: RF, SLR, TLR)

Indeed you did forget (ignore) the FSU cameras. Perhaps understandable considering your forum name. When this forum was young, most of the talk was about various FSU cameras, and how they could be used with existing FSU lenses to best advantage, or with Leica glass or Zeiss glass, for less money that a Leica or even a Contax.

I don't have nor expect I ever will have a Leica. Not in my price league. For those who do have them, good for you. I don't even have a Contax, and as long as I can keep the Kiev going, I doubt I will ever spring for one of those either.

All the above to rant that you are Leica centric, and should have titled your thread as such (now I feel better! :D :D ). Actually, I don't really mind, but it would have been interesting to see how many use FSU compared to Leica or Contax. No doubt these days, more in the Leica camp.

And that is OK. The wonderful thing about RFF is that as much as we tend to be gearheads and suffer GAS, photos still reign supreme.

For the record, I voted MF, since I do have and use a Mamiya Super Press 23.

Nowadays, I'm a proud M6TTL owner, but I still have a warm corner in my heart to the Zeiss Ikon that I still own and that served me for quite a while.

Something is missing from your list: where are the FSU rangefinders?
I think they deserve a selection button as well.
My first RF, and the camera that made me fall in love with these type of photography,
was an old and beaten Zorki 4 with a Jupiter 8.

Why can't you pick more than one? I need to check off six selections in the poll.

FSU cameras will make it 7.

I assume 1950s Voigtlander Prominent and Vitessa should be in the Voigtlander selection.

What about Retina?

I can only pick one. My M6. But in my bag today is a Canonet GIII QL17 and sitting at home waiting for its turn is my Nikon SP with a converted Helios 103. Thanks Brian.

I recently bought a nice Leica M4-P but I dont use it. Don't know why. I usually take my trusted Canon P instead.
