Hello!
I've had a nice Yashica Electro G for a couple of years and I've always admired the nice photos it's capable to produce. Recently I realised that my Yashi can do a bit more. I took it out late in the evening, installed it on a tripod and here we go:
Wow!

I agreed up until a couple months ago. Then I switched to the Olympus XA. Sorry, but I've defected for two reasons: the Yashica's weight, and the Yashica's size.
Carrying the Electro around all day left me with exhausted hands, arms. Carrying the XA is like having a pebble in your hand. Plus, the XA fits in the palm of my hand- nobody notices it. The Electro takes two hands and looks like you're pointing a dangerous projectile at people.
Image quality is about same with the XA (from what I've seen).
Sorry guys

Why Yashica Electro 35 GS is my choice...

Well, I have to agree with ElectroWNED: I'm not sure if Yashica Electro 35 GS is everybody's cup of tea, but I use this camera once in the while and sometimes I do get very nice results:
What I'm not happy with is my local scanning services, it's just not happening where I live

Olympus XA is a very good camera........BUT not as good as the Yashica, if size is the issue get a CC or a GX.

I have both Olympus XA and Electro 35 G. Both have their merits and both are very good cameras. My point is that I'm thrilled about Electro 35's good low light capabilities and I'm urging other Electro owners to try it.

Wow!
Very good for an autoexposure camera, nice photo. The Lynx models are nice too!
