The Ricoh lens goes into body when off. This make it fit easily in your pocket. The Samsung NX200 does not.

The GRD4 is a true grit machine. It does fit in a jeans pocket with room to spare....

I had the 3 for a while but find the 4 to be somewhat more responsive. The processing engine seems different also but both are excellent.
Great cameras.... Don

I just bought a GRD IV about a week ago and I like it so far. Great picture modes and the AF is pretty quick. The macro mode is a great feature too. If you have used a GR film camera, the usage is about the same. I use the camera with the optical viewfinder mostly and I have pretty good results with it so far.
I use the GXR-M for serious shooting, or when I want to really focus, photographically. The GRD IV is for fun and daily use. I can see sticking with one or the other, but different situations call for different cameras.
I'll be traveling to Mexico in August for a few days and I plan on bringing the GRD, and maybe another camera. We'll see if the GXR makes it.

Sorry about being late to reply but I have been out with the GRD4 a lot. The GXR and A12 units are resting....
I hope this is an acceptable answer.....
