when i used to ride motorcycle, sometimes i would join up with a few folks and run a group ride.
invariably, at the end of the night, usually sitting 'round a campfire, someone would start with the list of 'how comes'.
my favourite and someone always told it, was...'how come we ride all day in the rain and the first thing we do when we hit the motel is take a shower?'

i was thiking about this tonight and i have my own started for photography.

how come i use the 50 and 90mm lenses the least and i have 2 of each of them?

got any?

How come I have seven different types of camera bags and not one of them is the perfect bag? How come no one has invented the perfect camera bag or how come I can't find it? How come I cannot make up my mind on what the perfect camera bag would be?

this is a true mystery...for most of us.

Why is it that they haven't made a nudie half case? You know those really gawdy pens that "undress" the girls (I saw one with guys too ::shudder:: ) when you turn it around?

I'm amazed they haven't sold a Zorki or a Kiev without one.

How come I have an SX-70 in the closet, but have no idea of how to get usable film for it at a reasonable cost. Rogue-Designer, do you use your SX-70?

Jim N.

Yes - I have an ongoing series of still lives that I photograph with it (I found a flashbar to PC adapter so I can use it to fire my studio strobes).

Film is a PIA. I'm down to the last 5 packs in the fridge. I am unsure what I will do when I run out.

How come when I know that I'm going to be around a bunch of people with digicams I'll be perverse and take my Super Ikonta deliberately? Just did it this past Sunday and got dome really strange looks.

You want to really scare the mundanes, get a Speed Graphic, a 7" reflector flash unit and some GE #22 bulbs... 😉 Trust me, they'll never feel safe again 😀 and they'll think your Ikonta is a P&S

to stay on topic, why is it that I keep getting fascinated by obsolete formats? I just traded for 2 (not one but two!!!) Kodak Retina Reflex Instamatics... 126 cartridges... oh, my... :bang: :bang: :bang: at least they have the 28 & 135 included... :bang: :bang: :bang:

🙂

How come at the ripe age of 42 I still believe most of what people say on hobby forums? ... 😕

Perhaps because you still look upon life as a game of chance with the odds in your favor?

How come I make a firm decision that I have enough cameras for now yet I still peruse the small ads and local camera exchanges looking for a killer buy?

f3.5 Ya… but did you see that f3.5 Rolleiflex they have in at the moment!! so clean, so......

Why, when my style is hand-held street shooting, were my last two camera purchases a Bronica EC and a Polaroid 600SE?

And why is the amount of film in the fridge increasing when I know shooting with the R-D1 makes far more sense?
