I'm very impressed with my new G1 (so new that I have not had it out for serious shooting). I do have the adapter for M lenses, so I'm locked and loaded.

The 90mm and 75mm Summicrons will have new lives with this SLR. My 135mm with eyes will not fit, which is a pity. It is a very fine lens, actually.

Anyway, this is such a nice-seeming camera I am wondering if a Leica badged version will come out. In-camera stabilization would be a nice thing, because the fast M lenses tempt you into dark situations where it would be very useful.

I'm eager to see the Olympus version too, if they go through with it, but I could not wait, and I think Panasonic deserves a lot of credit for taking this plunge. I wish Micro 4/3 had more compatibiity with the 4/3 lenses, but to me the bigger appeal is being able to use the fast M lenses.

I was a bit disappointed that Oly didn't announce anything at PMA, but the G1 is fine in the meantime. Yes, in body VR would be the only improvement I'd spend money on, but it has to have all the G1 features too. No skimping in other areas. And, they need to sell the body only.

I wouldn't expect a Leica badged version.
