Will the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical Lens (Silver) Brass?

I am told that underneath the silver on this lens is a brass lens. So will it brass over time? Too bad the black version is made of aluminum.

Yes, the silver VM Nokton 50mm f/1.5 is a brass lens, as is the silver VM Ultron 35mm f/1.7. After 200 years of intensive use it will brass.
