I used to do a lot of architectural shooting and my preferred way of making the image was to get in close for details. Sometimes ugly items or at least prosaic and banal ones could look, if not beautiful then at least interesting courtesy of a more creative approach to composition and framing:

I love his image and I guess it is the kind of thing I had in mind when I started this thread. Nice...

Thank you. I have made quite a few images of this sort. I love reflections. Here is another of the same building but in (somewhat enhanced) color and from a different angle.
