Wot the...?

Each day after I've logged on, I comment on other folks pictures and read/respond to forum posts. All good so far........

However, when I open my gallery to post new images, it tells me I have exceeded the 5 picture per day limit (when I haven't yet posted anything).

Clearing the history, cookies and cache doesn't work so it looks like the forum itself has a problem.

I'm in New Zealand GMT+12, is that the problem?

Any chance it was less than 24hours since your last upload? It isn't 'day' based, but rather remembers the time of the last upload. This restriction can be annoying but I think it's designed to stop people uploading hundreds at a time. People like to look through all the new uploads each day.

Desmo doesn't have a single pic in his gallery, so it can't be the "last upload" problem.

Ahh, a 24 hour not 'day' expiry might explain it.
I'll wait a while and try again. It's a bit frustrating if the last time you posted images was near midnight though; you have to wait until midnight again or go to bed and miss a day.

I too like to browse the new images and try to comment on as many as possible (why shouldn I expect comments if I don't offer them?)

One possibility is that your images are too big. I don't know why - but sometimes when I tried to post a too bid image I got the same "over the daily limit" error message. Software "glitch"?

I've had less problems after I learned from folks here to limit the long side to around 800 dpi (I've seen some posted pics at 1000 dpi, though).

Also, the 24 hour clock is a "stickler". I uploaded around 1AM today. I have five more to go but it is only 7PM. Looks like ANOTHER late night if I want to get this next batch uploaded! :bang:

Strange... a search in the gallery didn't turn up anything, but I see your pictures now.
