WTB/WTT: broken uncoupled folder

I'm in the market for a parts level 6x6 folder with an uncoupled rangefinder. Think Isolette III or equivalernt. In fact if the shutter and/or lens is hosed, so much the better. The key, for me, is _cheap_...

I've been thinking of trying a homebrew of sorts. Take a 6x6 folder, put in a 6x4.5 portrait mask, and then "convince" a longer lens, say the 110mm from a Moskva 2, or the like, to focus onto the film plane. I'm thinking an uncoupled rangefinder would still work correctly as the focal length of the lens isn't in that calculation.

I don't know that I can pull this off, but it seems to me that this would be a street portrait monster. Anyway this idea has me by the ears so I feel the need to at least look at it as cheaply as possible.

OOhhhh... Interesting. I hadn't even considered one of those types; I did think about the limits on the Isolette but without the other bit of information, I was thinking that they were all I had to work with. Gonna have to think about this some more.

Foo. I had thought the already in lens shutter would work...

The Graflex is really what got me thinking this way in the first place - it's an increadable camera, but dang they're huge... In all honesty, a Century Graphic will do far more than what I'm pondering here, but I'd nearly be willing to do illegal acts for a camera that handles as fast and easily as my Iskra but with a slightly longer lens.

Yeah, my eyes just have a hard time _seeing_ wide. I have a 55mm for my 645, perhaps that will change things, but I've always prefered things in the 70 - 100 mm range for 35mm format. I'd die for a 6x6 folder with a 135mm from a current company. Hell, I'd pay serious stupid money if someone like Mamiya made a 6x6 folder with interchangable lenses. Ghu, with TTL metering and a flash like the GA645Zi? But I mean it when I say folder - one of the real advantages digital has is size. An old fashoned folder gets you smaller than most 35mm/digital SLRs and that will pleasantly surprise a lot of possible customers.

I got a 135 un-coupled folder, if you'd like. It's a Voigtlander (funny how that name is showing up more and more) Vito, with a Tessar 50mm (2.8 version). It's hard to focus, AND a little soft, if you like that kind of thing...
