I've recently bought a X-E1 and have been enjoying getting used to the camera. I've noticed that the body sits a bit awkwardly in my hand, the bottom corner digging into my palm a bit. I'm trying to figure out if I should look into the grip, a thumbs up or perhaps both.

If anyone here has any insight on this, I'd appreciate hearing it.

I have the Fuji grip for the xp1 and the real right stuff grip on my x100. Of the two I like the rrs one better because it gives me access to the sd and battery compartment w/o removing like grip unlike the Fuji grip.

I bought both but am only using the thumb thing now.
I have the fuji grips for the xp1 and the xe1... it feels better on the xe1... a bit too big on the xp1.

I'm leaning towards going with the Thumbs Up. Any comments on the differences between Match Technical's Thumbs Up EP-9S and the Lensmate ?

I don't use any grips or cases. Grips are for DSLRs... ;)

Works very well on the X-Pro 1 and longer lenses I find. Shot some classic motorsport with this combo and an old Vivitar 70-210mm on a Pentax adapter all mounted onto a monopod a few weeks back.

Sure it felt awkward at first but was fine after a few shots, couldn't have done it without that grip though. ;) :)

I have the Thumbs Up. It is a quality product for fit and finish, doesn't require a set screw and makes handling the X-Pro1 much better. It is a little pricey but how many will you ever buy?

i'm not overly impressed with the lensmate. their customer service is much better then theri product.
i have 3 of them now...on one, the paint is easily scrapped off and the feel is sticky. the other is fine so that suggests poor quality control...i took off the top plate along with the set screw on one of them to ease use and the other is one piece and i took the set screw out of it as well. the 3rd is in a box not used yet.
