shooter of stuff
So I was out in Colorado last week - just in time to deal with all the flooding, etc. Before things turned crazy, my wife and I were hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. I brought along the X100 just in case I saw something I wanted to shoot.
Used to love shooting river scenes. I'd use a tripod, cable release, ND filters, etc.
Had none of that with me.
Improvising, I propped the camera on a fallen tree limb, cushioned by my jacket. Set it to ISO 200. Turned on the ND filter. Used the 2-sec self timer to avoid touching it during the long exposure.
It's hardly perfect. But I'm pleased with the results, considering the circumstances.

Very skillful improvisation and more than acceptable results!
