I have been toying with the idea of doing a stop motion film from the xpan.
It is already in cinematic format but am I making to much hard work for myself?
Has anyone ever done a stop motion before?

You need a movie camera, digital IS much easier and cheaper. Otherwise, it's at the minimum 12 frames per sec (better if it is 24), i.e. one roll of film ($4-$10, depending on whether it's B&W or color etc.) + processing per one sec.

Whoa! Stop motion with an Xpan? It's gonna get mighty expensive!

12 frames a second? So it will be one roll of film for 1-2 seconds..
Yep, it would get expensive.
I don't think it's been done before, and I'd love to give it a try.
Just need to come up with a story to tell and an idea of what I'd like to shoot.

Desperate but not serious
1) The Xpan isn't pin registered.
2) At best you'd only be able to shoot a second of film at a time.
These days most stop-motion films are shot on the Canon D5 mk II.
