For those of you who shoot Xpro1 and convert to B&W for prints or for reproduction, do you shoot jpegs, RAW only, or both? I'm using LR5. Desaturate from RAW or use a preset? It's the 18mm lens that gives me the most unsatisfaction in the corners. And, in general can't seem to get the enough contrast into the midtones. Camera settiings, LR tricks, Silver Efex, tutorials? I'm looking for a full tone print, not high contrast, as close to a darkroom print as I can get.

I shoot RAW and jpeg, with the evf set to black and White. I only use the raws, adjust contrast and curves, and sometimes exposure. That's basically it.
... as close to a darkroom print as I can get.
What printer / printing service are you using?

I'm using an Epson 3800 for everything. But note that my collegues who are really into B&W printing have dedicated printers with customized inks and profiles. Maybe that's the (expensive) way to go?
