Hi,
I have a Yashica 635 and the shutter needs to be repair. Is this something that I can repair it myself or is better to send it to repair. If I can repair it myself, what tools do I need and how to clean and lubricate the parts.
Thanks,
Alberto Ayala

It can be done at home if you have some experience. The following link will show the photos from my rebuild of a second version 635 that was missing some parts, and the replacement body I was using was from the third version, but in the meantime I did a shutter cleaning while it was opened up.
You can make your own decision if it looks too complicated.

Is Mark Hama still active? He is the guy for Yashica TLR repairs.
