I purchased a "user" Yashica Electro GX a couple of months ago. I love this little camera... its ease-of-use and the truly sharp images it creates. However it might have a problem.

The camera came with a strap attached to the lugs. Recently I bought a new Voigtlander strap for it. When I was taking the old strap off I noticed that the lugs look like they've been partly pulled out of the body! This is a bit hard to explain without a picture, but I'll try. The lug heads, the part with the hole in it for the strap ring, are maybe a millimeter or two away from the body. I can see the lug shaft in that 1-2 mm space. The lugs are both firmly set in the body... no wiggle. I've been carrying the camera by the lugs for two months now and they haven't moved.

I've looked at a few pictures on the web and it appears that the lug heads are right up against the body... no shaft showing. Has anyone else come across this problem? Or is it even a problem?

Thanks for your thoughts.

"The lug heads, the part with the hole in it for the strap ring, are maybe a millimeter or two away from the body. I can see the lug shaft in that 1-2 mm space." U don't have to worry about. My GX has the same and i have no any problems with that lug heads.

Greets;)

Lucifuge and Paul,
Thanks for your responses. I'll stop worrying now and just go out for some fun with this great little camera.
