I just got a very sweet GSN off of ebay (it came from the UK), but the film counter is broken (stuck between s and 1). Is this an easy fix? Alternatively, does anybody know how many times you need to advance the film to get to frame 1?

I got my test roll back and it takes phenomenal pics. I can't wait to get it out on the street.

Hmm, no replies eh? Well - this is a common problem and most likely caused by dried out lube in the counter assembly. You will need to take the top plate off and clean/relube the counter wheel. Also check that the tension spring is still attached and in good order (I have seen a few that have come off the securing pin).

Alternatively, simply shoot off 2 frames to get to frame 1.
