Hi Everyone,
By reading all the fantansies about the GSN, I am now eager to get one, but before I do so , I am still using the Olympus SP35, has everyone had the opportunity to compare these 2 ?
Thanks...
Stan

Both are very sharp lenses, I think the Oly SP is sharper (plus it has a spot meter).
Get a GSN too, they are pretty inexpensive and are great performers.

These were the first RF's I owned, and like them both. I, too, find the zuiko lens a tad sharper. I also prefer the color rendition the zuiko lens. Of course, one major advantage is that you can still use the sp if your electronics go, as you know.
The Yashica is bigger and heavier, but I prefer the convenience of the px 28 battery (with homemade adapter).
I agree - get them both.

Both have great lenses. The SP has spot-meter and full control over aperture/shutter speed, the GSN of course has auto shutter speed only. I prefer the GSN to the SP - but I prefer the Olympus RD to both of them. I also find the Hi-Matic 9 compares favorable to both...even slightly superior to all but the RD.

I have the GT and the SP.
The SP is smaller and has the sharper lens. The GT, in all black, looks cooler though - LOL. With the very reasonable Yashica prices, have both.

Thanks everyone, your comments affirm me that I am going to get one, hopefully something will pop up in this forum, rather than get it at the BigBay.

I don't have an Olympus rangefinder. But I have an OM1, which I used for years, and can attest that it has a fine lens.
The big advantage to the GSN, in my book, is it's low light capability. If you can hold it steady, or use a tripod, you can get some good shots.
Sharpness? I am very impressed by the Minolta Hi-Matic 9, by Minolta lenses in general, Iv'e been using the SRT 101 a lot lately, but I've gotten some really sharp images with the GSN and the Lynx.
Get a GSN, they are still cheap enough, and have fun.
