Hi,

I got nice black GX in quite good shape from first owner. Has had filter from day one so lens is pristine. Unfortunately there is some issue with electrics. Neither the battery test or the meter works. The red wire from battery bay seems to be ok as I can get current flowing between the battery testers first prong.

The brown wire goes somewhere. Looks like it follows to under the lens. Anyone know where they lead and what is the easiest way to check?

On second note I bought a mint chrome GX from a camera store. It was supposed to be fully working but has interesting fault. Meter works when cocked but the overexposure light works only when the shutter is not pressed at all. It also makes noise! Anyone know if this easy fix or if I just return it?

I noticed that I really like GX. It has really nice viewfinder and easy to focus unlike some of the other same sized cheaper RFs. Also aperture priority + fast lens is to my liking. So I am hoping I get a working one.

Ok,

The thing is quite dead. No apparent issues that I could find other than one chip and I can't get the battery testers light to work either. Anyone know where to get new chip, NEC C551E634D? Or how to test if that works? Looks like battery leak did its thing here.
