Just got a J last week, and Sunday was the first day I could go test it out. I went to the campus of a local college since they have such fine classic landscaping, and the weather was perfect.

First link is a map of the campus, so you can get an idea of where the buildings are located. At the end is another link to the full set on Flickr.

These were all shot on Kodak Gold 100, scanned, and cropped. No corrections other than a couple of the photos needed the horizon fixed. Exposure calculation by Sunny-16 method.

Great colors! I would believe it if you said this was shot on Portra. I am waiting to test my new Yashica M with 45mm 1.9 Yashinon and your shots are giving me a high expectation for the results.

I've got to find some time to fix my M, as it came to me with the Delay jammed. But the Minimatic C works fine.

Yashicas are great! Since now haven't noticed J has a focus tab, nice touch.

The J and the Campus are identical, except for the name placard (sold in different markets), whereas the 35W drops the YASHICA badge on the front, and has a knurled aluminum focus ring instead of the tab. The M also has the focus tab, but of a different design.

I would like to see the camera. I just bought one and it is so pristine I cannot believe it, taking into account its age and all.

You couldn't call mine pristine. I only cleaned off the lens before I shot it, so it's still got all the grunge from the previous owner.
