Hello all...was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I have been using my Yashica Lynx w/o any problems. Yesterday I was loading a new roll in, when the winder stuck. It is absolutely stuck and will not budge. Therefore the shutter is now locked, and the film won't advance.
Anyone have any experience repairing this camera?
Please help..I love this lens and don't want to lose this camera.

Hi CR,

Ah'm assuming the obvious - in that yev tried the film release button on the bottom plate, hoping that the released tension will free the jam?
Opening the back and removing the film?

Here's some diagrams from my 35GT repair manual, should be broadly similar tae the Lynx...

It may be that one of these parts is obviously disengaged. Ye can try removing the bottom plate tae see if there's any obvious anomalies. Mebbe a wee bit judicious jiggling of parts and swab the bits with a cotton bud dipped in isopropyl.

Ye can also get access tae the same parts by removing the top plate but it may be enough tae release tension by removing these bits...

If none of these work and ye don't fancy trying farther then there's plenty folk online can fix these cameras. Good luck
