I just saw my first black Yashica MC today in a shop in Seoul. Are they rare? What is the mkt. value?
Thanks,

I use 35MC (accidentally, mine is black, too) and all I can say it's superb camera for what I want from small carry-around camera. If you want drawback, it's fully automatic (well, there's no other way to tweak exposure as to use ISO lever) and ISO range is limited by upper value 1000 (if you like ISO400 film pushed two stops).

I recently sold a Black Yashica MC on eBay for $100, it is one of the rarest Yashicas, but not as much in demand as the CC or GX cameras.

That's strange. It has one of simplest lenses (well, it's not bad) in line-up, yet has no rangefinder. All that rush just because it's small and cute, and black?

You never know. Sometimes folks just get in a tizzy over nothing, and zoom! There goes the price. Paid ten bucks for mine, and it's black. Needs seals though.
