Hi, I am new to the list and need a little help. Recently my mother gave me my late fathers old Yashica MG1. I know he used to take very good pictures with it. I am looking for a battery and also noticed that the aperature ring and the end of the lens are loose. Anyone have a picture or diagram of this lens or info on what might be loose inside the lens?
Thanks,
Sonnybee

I was going to start a thread about this camera (or search for an old one) because I recently got one that was about as mint as possible with a working Mercury battery at a thrift store for $15. Going to add some pics to the Yashica picture thread.
Good luck getting yours working. My father is still living but doesn't shoot very much anymore at his age. I certainly enjoy shooting like he did, it brings me closer to him and I imagine that would be even more true if he wasn't with us.
Good luck.

Hi,
I found my problem. There are 3 very tiny screws missing from the aperature ring. Anyone know where I can get those?
Thanks,
Sonnybee
