Hello,
I've had my GSN for...a while...but haven't used it due to an inconsistent meter. It works...it's accurate...it just doesn't always "kick on" in a uniform fashion. This wouldn't be an issue, but you have to wind the film to activate the meter.
I picked up a (cheap, almost mint, black) MG-1 today. Meter works...whew
The thing is...the "Over" reading makes a loud buzzing...way louder than the GSN.
I move the shutter button up and down on either cam, and it makes a scratchy sound. It's mostly for the "Over" reading but the meters are still noisy.
Is there any way to fix this, so the meter will activate reliably and without scratchiness? I've been inside the top of a GSN I sold for parts, and been inside my current GSN. The MG-1 needs a VF cleaning badly so I might as well take care of both issues at once.
Thanks for any advice
