let me share with you a really GREAT shot happened to me right now..
It was MONTHS I didn't looked at a famous local website trading film gear, Zeiss, Leica, Nikon etc. By chance I gave a look and guess what ? From one minute to the other appeared a Mint (or EX+) Zeiss Ikon + Biogon 35/2 for less than the price of the Ikon new. I couldn't believe it. I called them immediately and now I'm waiting for their mail to end the transaction !!!
As some of you might have read just a few days ago, I was wondering to take the plunge yet prices of a totally new system scared me, so as Sebastel knows, I had decided to look for the Distagon first... Yet, with such a deal I really couldn't pass over !!!
They always offer one full year warranty and they are indeed one of the most trusted shops in Italy, so I'm very very happy ! From them I got my F6 and from them I'm going to get my first Zeiss camera.

When the camera arrives, take a look at the moon, to see if the rf image coincides. If all is ok, load some nice film, and set the lens to f 4.0. When you will see the results you will wet your pants

I had seen and tried the ZI + 35/2 in Genoa about 1 yr ago and it looked SO tiny compared to everything I had so far (probably the closest home competitor was the FM3A + CV 40/2, for sure not the F6 nor the D700)
It's since ...2007? I was dreaming to have one !!!

congrats! The viewfinder of the zeiss ikon is so much better than any other leica m ive tried, even the m3's high magnification..
It's soo big. Hopefully the next film leica m will have a larger viewfinder too

Nice. Congrats on your Ikon! I got my Ikon from pretty cheap and by far it is my most favorite camera. ps. Really good deal on the body and a lens you got.
