Stealing Goodyear's little ascii wave \o/ :D

Maybe some of you will remember the problems I had with residue and all these weird dots, etc. I've been sick at home with pleuritis, and in sheer boredom, I walked around this morning with the M2 and that roll of trix I wasn't sure was loaded in the camera or not.

Turns out it was loaded :)

- So first, I made sure the workplace was spotless
- triple checked the seal of the tank to make sure light wouldn't leak in
- followed development to the second (8 minutes in 20C with xtol 1:1)
- used distilled water for stop bath
- fixed for 8 minutes, and used vigorous agitation
- washed for 6 minutes under running water
- quick dunk into photo flo + distilled water
- one final dunk into distilled water

Next, I did what ya'll told me NOT to do, and stuck the rell + film into my self-electrocution hair dryer unit + drain pipe. Let that run on low for 10 minutes, then anxiously scanned in all 36 frames.

WOW. Pictures are crap, but the results, wonderful. Great tones, no white spots, no residue.. just clean, clear negs!

Attached two "nice" pictures from the roll.

Thanks for all your help and patience!

Jano

PS: there's a "dance" in the smiley thingy here on the right, been itching to try it, methinks I deserve to do so now :D EDIT: dance don't do anything :(

Looking good. Nothing like the satisfaction of a nice B&W negative after all that work.

You really shouldn't blow-dry the negatives though (no finger-shaking smiley, I guess) ;)

Thank you both!

Why not blow-dry the negs? I found lots of people doing it.. one article in some magazine where the guy does it, works well!
