Thanks for your posting. I have the same lens in NEX mount and have to say its surprisingly impressive given its very modest price. In particular its centre performance is great. I bought mine to match the Sony 50mm f1.8 that is one of Sonys sharpest lenses for this class of camera. A review of the Sigma can be found here.

Thanks! Yes, I bought this lens at the low $150 closeout price last year and have used it for easily 80-90 % of all my photos since getting it. I have always liked a normal lens, but find that this longer lens is really great for giving just a little more subject/framing isolation. I had used a Zeiss Biotar and Helios-44 clone in the past and had like their 58mm FL, so this didn't take much getting used to for me. While my Oly 45 is a much better lens, the Sig 30 is better than my Pan 14 and Oly 17.
