First shot fitted to a NEX-3 makes me very happy - a compact, 60mm equivalent. I look forward to trying it out on the CL in the street soon.

Looks like a nice lens!

Looks like a nice dog. What's the breed? I'll show it to my daughter to test her, she has an encyclopedic knowledge of dog breeds.

picture is good, lens is great, cropped FL ruins it for me personally. my favorite FL is 40mm, then 80, then 24. i personally am not fond of 50 ish for my purposes. taking this lens from a perfect 40 to an in between 60 is one of the main things that prevented me from buying an apsc cam. i do have on olly ep2, and while the crop factor is still annoying, i can at least use this lens as a fast portrait 80...again, not meant to detract from this picture or anyone elses's enjoyment, its just my own opinion.

Yes, crop factors suck but I didn't buy it for APS-C. Still, I would prefer to be nearer 50 than 75 for my work.

yeah, FL is definitely a subjective thing, and i'm certainly in the minority in my dislike for 50s. it is a great looking alert dog though...

I prefer 35-40 myself, so I am with you, but a lot of old standard film 50s are cheap, fast and sharp.

yeah, but thats why this particular lens is so great--its all those things and tiny as a thimble! ive got the leica version and just love it, probably my favorite lens.

The 40mm CL(E) Rokkor is indeed a very nice lens. I regret selling it a few years ago, but it was mainly because the focusing tab was a pain to use when wearing gloves, which is what I did half the year while living in the Minnesotan Tundra.
