It could be the one you sold or the one you should have bought. What is your biggest regret as far as a camera slipping through your hands?

I mostly regret buying too many cameras/lenses/accessories but the one system that I regret buying into is the Pentacon Six.

Mine is that I didn't discover Leica M cameras until the digital era was well under way. I would have loved to have used an M camera back in the Eighties when I first started making pictures. I used a Nikon F3 and a couple of lenses for years, then dabbled in medium format. By the time I got around to Leica, roughly 2007, I was being too distracted by the digital onslaught.

No regrets!
They were all learning experiences.
I am still reducing kit and I am very satisfied with what I have to decided to keep and use long term. There will, of course, be new versions of some of my currents -but I have learned to walk, not run to them.

How much is too much in your opinion ?

I regret getting away from Large format. Somehow I really miss it.

I sort of regret not buying more gear back when it was cheaper, I've seen M6s for 900$, 500cm Hasselblad kits for 1000$, 50mm summicron for 500$...now everything is much more expensive.
But of course I had no money when prices were this low

Mine was the OM4t. I know I can get another one but not at the price I bought my original for. That and a double stroke M3.

I wish I was happy with one camera but I'm not. At the minimum I would "need" two cameras and back up bodies: Rolleiflex TLR and Leica M + 50mm f2 lens.
I have about 15 cameras and I plan on cutting down but in the past I have probably owned 30-40 cameras, but not all at the same time. It is not just the cameras/lenses that are annoying but the money wasted on accessories too.

I regretted selling my Hasselblad 903SWC in 2004, although it was necessary. I've let go of that regret now by acquiring another SWC.

I regret not taking the time to even look at what cameras I inherited back when I did inherit them 10-13 yrs ago.
I think about all the money I've spent on digital cameras since then and how I've relied on 'factory performance' to make the pictures I have taken.
Who knows what kind of photographer I'd be today if I'd only looked into them back then.

I had an MPP micro technical 5x4 camera with all the extra bits which I sold. I thought I would never use it ... And ofcourse now I would relish the the chance to put it good use.
I must admit though that I'm now very happy with my present film set up of an M2, IIIg and voigtlander lenses with a Fuji GS645 for MF. I have no plans to change that for sometime

There are lots of cameras I should not have sold, but at the same time, I sold them to buy something else, and that something else was a learning experience.
I sold my ZI to get an M6, I preferred the ZI, but using that M6 introduced me to Leica, and I had a couple of M3s, and an MP after that. I've since sold all my Leicas, but they were a learning experience for me.
So I have no real camera buying/selling regrets, but that's not to say I should not have hung onto some of the cameras I've had. If I had to say I regretted anything, it's not taking more time over my photography.

True. And, I shouldn't have sold you that Summicron 2.0/50mm, it was waay too cheap considering todays prices!

Good memory...
It was a fine lens, my first ever Leica lens in fact.

Oh man, where to start.
Well, I don't generally like zooms but there was this one......
A Zuiko OM mt. 28~48 f4 constant aperture zoom. Bought it for $40 and sold it for $120 so no $ loss. But I think in the few months I used it I grew to like the that lens. But I found how much I could get for it and wanted to finance a Zuiko prime. Still regret that.
I still have one zoom, a tiny 35~70 f3.5~4.5 Zuiko. Haven't used it in months but still leary about selling it. They only go for only a few bucks. Just not much demand.
