I'm fortunate to have a spare bedroom which is my darkroom and dedicated photo room. I just finished cleaning/organizing it last weekend.
In the second pic of the cabinet, top shelf is RF's, second shelf is Nikon slr's, third shelf is Olympus slr's, andbottom shelf is compact cameras. Medium format cameras are on another shelf in camera bags.
Where do you store your camera gear at home?

Nowhere near the darkroom... Darkroom sees a lot of water & chemicals, a hostile environment for cameras.

Joe, you are clearly no collector.
Pablito, I don't splash too much doing darkroom work.

Heh. My crap is everywhere- I have three camera bags full of gear under a bench in the dining room right now, a camera on my bedside table and two more on the mantle in the living room, plus various other bits scattered here and there.
My wife thought it would get better when I moved the studio and darkroom out of our house and into a studio building ten minutes away. HA! All it really means is than now my gear is spread all over the place, and some things migrate from A to B.

my fiancee bought me an old glass display cabinet when we moved recently, as a gift to place my cameras into in the spare room (aka. 'photo room').
lovely gift, though I haven't that many cameras
so I guess I will need to buy a lot more to fill up the display case she gave me!

FrankS- thank you for this shot. I need to show this to the family so they'll know that there is someone who is more fanatic than me about cameras.

Two plastic dry boxes in my main room. Right now nothing else will fit in them, which keeps me from buying more gear

Yep. my wife needs to know that it's not just me who has a bunch of cameras kicking around.
(Although not quite so many. But mine do take up more room, the 4x5 and 5x7 and various tripods especially...)

My cameras fit in a couple of bureau drawers...though I really need to clear a third, when you get right down to it. Here's my developing area, I think I've posted this before...it's also my wife's yarn-dyeing and letterpress zone, but I kind of, ah, dominate the space...

Just this guy, you know?
I have one...large...camera in the middle of my living room. Because the tripod is the most convenient place for it. Like a very effective coffee table book, it is quite the conversation piece.
The rest reside on the bookshelves. Mostly, where they do not belong.

I'm at work, so I may try to take a photo later of one shelf my wife bought for cameras. But it isn't nearly enough. I have them there, in several camera bags in the walk in closet, in two dresser's drawers, and on shelves in the laundry room/dark room. I really need to do something about all that. I am trying to give some away to my future son-in-law. He has a 4x5 with roll film holder and lens, a bag, and a Canon zoom lens. The oldest daughter has an ST 801 and some lenses, and a Minolta MG1 and lenses.

Nice idea. Clearly you don't have young grandkids. But perhaps a very understanding wife?

I assume you're talking about my shots, or?
It's just VERY UNMESSY. My workspace always seems to have little piles of metal dust or chemical stains all over it, broken guitar strings on the floor, clipped film ends, books open and facedown on top of each other, etc. I can get it looking like yours every now and then and then it slips back into chaos...

My camera gear tends to ooze.... I have a glass cabinet in my office that is supposed to hold all my gear... then I added a shelf by the door so I can put my camera bag on it when I come in the door and keep the most used stuff on. From there equipment starts to spread through out the apartment
