I was wondering whether using my S&W 40.5mm vented hood will cause problems with a 35/2.8 Zeiss-Opton Biogon or not... have you had any similar experience to share?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can do it with no problem, that hood won't intrude in the lens FOV. But don't fit any filter between the hood and the lens. If you fit a filter, either use the special "W" hood from the same source, or no hood.

Thank you sir! ;-)

You're welcome
BTW those vented Chinese hoods all have the same geometry, were they cylindric or tilted-conic, the latter being way better made (one lone piece of CNC-machined alu while the cylindric are tapered).
So you can use both on the Biogon 35.

Hi,
i've bought the voitlander screw in VLH35P hood for my C-biogon, fit is perfect stack with a filter and doesn't show in the FV... this was originaly made for the pancake lens.

Hi Liquid-Sky, that's for a Zeiss-Option Biogon 35/2.8 in Contax RF mount ;-)
