I don’t know how many RF Forum members have studios. I suspect it’s a rather small percentage. I used to think I had one because I was a “professional.” But, looking over my image files, I find I have as many studio portraits of my family and friends as I have of other studio images. I even have studio portraits of my dogs. It’s nice to have pictures of family members and friends in which they are the only element in the picture. You don’t have to have a studio, permanent or temporary, to accomplish this. But it sure makes it easy. Show up at my home and you may find yourself shuttled into the studio. To that end, for those folks that do enjoy a studio, let me pass on two parts of an article by Zack Arias on shooting against a white seamless. It’s a really intelligent, useful piece. I think you will find the second part most useful.
