Hello,

I have just got this Contina.
It is suposed to be made from 1956 to 1960, and it is very solid and heavy.

You can see some info here:

and here:

I wonder which is the current price for this model.

This model is common. A modest camera with a Novar lens, Prontor shutter, zone focus and selenium meter.

I would estimate it to be in the $18-$28 range in today's current eBay market. As always, you could get/pay more, or you could get/pay less.

I learned photography with my Dad's Contina. It had a 2.8 Pantar lens.
I wish I had not sold it when it broke down. It would have been nice to remind me of old times.

I used the camera for about ten years. Then I discovered Canon SLR cameras.

I have one, my first phot taken with it in 1972. It was a wedding present for my parents in 1958. It still works, with a slight hold up in the slower shutter speeds. No film through it since the late '70s when I got my first Leica.

Modest it may be, but the Prontor is a perfectly capable shutter and the Novar is a good triplet. I've got an earlier Contina with the same combination, and it's a fun little thing. Put a roll through it!
