Zeiss lenses and focus tab.

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good time 🙂

I don't know if it has been discussed before but i wanted to ask if i can find anywhere to buy a focusing tab for my zeiss lenses.
its the only thing that is missing from these amazing lenses. I know i can live without it but it would make my life alot easier if i had a bit bigger tab on my lenses.
Has anyone done anything? found anything?

Discussion here. My source, Heavystar, seems to be out. But it is by appearance the same tab as used on my Gen IV 50 mm Summicron. I've also heard that some of the service people (DAG?) will do the job for a modest fee.

It looks like that was stuck on with double sided tape. How secure is the hold?

So far, so good. The nub on the lens's focusing ring protrudes into the tab, which makes it more secure. There's no flex to speak of. Focusing with this lens is like focusing with my Gen IV 50mm Summicron, actually slightly better since the focus ring is hatched. Index finger goes on the tab, thumb on the focus ring.

Interesting. Are those tabs hollow?

^---mostly, yes. I had to excavate some molding flash to get a good fit.
