I've noticed that my two "benchmark" camera dealers in NYC have different prices on the Zeiss 2.8/28 and 2/35 ZM lenses - one has them at $835, the other at $999. (Same again with the 25....)
Usually these two giants have the exact same prices on new equipment.
I hoping that it is not the case that the "newer inventory" is responsible for the price increase of nearly 20%. I called and one will not price match the other, which they also usually do.
If this +20% is coming, that will put the 2/50 at c$800, and the 2.8/21 at c$1250 - still well under the Leica counterparts, even the new Summarits - but, still...
