Womp womp.
The built in Lightroom gimmick hurts it instead of helping it. If they would have just made that camera more like the Leica Q2, it may have had a chance.

I'm more disappointed by the digital rangefinder Zenit which also seemed to be near-vaporware, it was much more compelling to me.

It's a shame Zeiss didn't capitalise on its legacy glass and bodies. All they needed was a simple ikon m rangefinder and sensor in it, and instead they tried to be smart and compete with the Leica Q. Idiots...

It looked really clunky but I give them an A for effort. It would be nice to have more risk-takers like this but the market is so consolidated I don't know how many more truly daring cameras we'll get to see again. The built in Lightroom gimmick hurts it instead of helping it. If they would have just made that camera more like the Leica Q2, it may have had a chance.

It seems Zeiss has bigger fish to fry. Their ultra-flat mirrors are a key component in the latest and greatest chip-making machines.

Should have kept it simple, there's a lot to be said for that especially when their lenses have always been and still are so good.
